D52 Toastmasters Leadership Institute January 2022
The entire district leadership team and committees would like to thank all those who participated and contributed to its success.
The TLI team was led and organized by our Program Quality Director, Rose Abbott, DTM.
With a record number of more than 280 registrations and 220 participants, many Toastmasters joined us on a Saturday morning to hear words of inspiration from our Region 2 Adviser, Pamela McCown, DTM, PID.
Many other experienced club officers and new officers attended the training sessions to get their officers credit and new tools and information to make their roles more productive, efficient, and fun.
Carl Walsh was the Toastmaster of the day. He led the day in a very fun-filled way, professional, and of course, with lots of jokes.
Pamela McCown, DTM, PID inspired the participants on everyone’s ability to be a leader. That to find a leader, one need not only step up but must also be asked. Asking someone gives them the encouragement and realization that they too can be a leader in their own way. In the end, she did make a call for action for future leaders to start applying as early as now.
Our club officers were provided with new materials to help them in their roles. Being officers who have already served for 6 months, they were provided with tools and confidence to make their jobs better.
Our District Director gave a few kind words thanked everyone and let us know what is going on in our district with some fun-filled announcements. Be sure to watch his weekly video coming out every Friday at 4 pm.
