Fellow D52 Toastmasters,
Can you believe we are already at the end of the first quarter of the Toastmaster s’ 21-22 term? As your Program Quality Director, I worked on directing the training of District Leadership, Division, Area Directors, and Club Officers first round of training. Training ensures that our leadership team is equipped to deliver a quality club experience to our members and empower new leaders.
Our first round of club membership renewals resulted in 80 clubs remaining in good standing, 10 clubs less than 8 renewals, and 10 clubs with no renewals. District 52 is doing well and is in line with other Districts in Region 2.
We want to rise above the line! I need YOU to help us reach the goal of becoming a Distinguished District – here is how:
- Renew your club membership – it is not too late – contact a club officer today!
- Provide a new club lead – contact our CGD@district52.org to learn more
- Clubs – Host an Open House and/or Speech Craft to expand your membership.
- Invite a friend to visit and join a Toastmasters club!
- Clubs with 12 members or less – reach out to learn more about working with a Club Coach to lead your club to reach Distinguished status
- Area Directors – complete your AD club reports by November 1
- Members on the path to DTM – learn more about serving as a New Club Sponsor, Mentor or Club Coach.
Let us not forget the mission of a Toastmasters Club: to provide a friendly and encouraging club environment where members are empowered to grow their communication and leadership skills resulting in greater self-confidence and personal growth.
My goal is to help YOU reach your goal of improving your communication & leadership skills. Remember Distinguished members lead clubs to become Distinguished helping Areas, Divisions and the District become Distinguished.
In your service,
Rose Abbott, DTM
