Fellow District 52 Toastmasters,

 

I hope you are all as excited as I am as we look forward to all that is in store for the next quarter. Thank you to District 52 leadership, club officers, and members who are actively engaged in bringing in “One New Member a Month”, earning Pathways education awards, and submitting Area Director Reports by November 30 due date. 

 

What’s Next? 

 

Save the date for upcoming virtual training opportunities: 

  • First Monday Monthly @ 6:30 pm Free Toast Host Website Workshops – all members welcome. Presented by Marc Richards
  • Chief Judge & Contest training – to be announced 
  • Toastmasters Leadership Institute (TLI) Saturday, January 15 @ 10:30 am -12:30 pm – Second Round (required) Advanced Club officer training.
  • Officer Make-Up Training – January – February 28, 2022 – Dates TBA 

Virtual District 52 International & Evaluation Speech Contests

Beginning early 2022 members from all over the world will prepare to compete for the coveted World Champion of Public Speaking title. It begins with club contests and goes up to the international stage. See 2022 rulebook for contestant qualifying information.

District 52 will host an Evaluation Speech contest where contestants observe a 5-7 minute test speech and then present a 2-3 minute evaluation of the test speech. 

Timeline:

  • February 2022 – Club’s hold International and Evaluation Speech Contests
  • March 2022 – Area’s hold International and Evaluation Speech Contests
  • April 2022 – Division’s hold International and Evaluation Speech Contests
  • May 13-14 – District 52 International and Evaluation Speech Contests
